“RESPONSIBLE PROTECTION” since 1978 is our slogan as this marks the year in which the company inspired by this core value was established, when Turin was “only” a large automotive company.
Over the years, we have continued to expand, changing our models, our organization, our structure but continuing to offer the best technical and economic solutions through the application of “best practices” acquired cooperating with our customers.
We set out producing work gloves and now produce specialist automated systems for the management of indirect materials at the facilities of Customer Companies.
In 1978, the founder of the company, Renato Lanzi, was the first in Italy to import Shima Seiki machines and the company began to produce seamless knitted gloves as its main activity.
This product, which was soon to replace the market of cut and sewn gloves, conquered a large swath of the automotive market.
was marked by the production of leather gloves and work-wear (Pakistan), also addressing the Automotive market.
The acquisition of a specialized Italian glove factory facilitated entry to different markets (glass, rubber, etc.) at national and European level.
In this period, Lanzi set up an in-house test laboratory to promote the development of new products and for production quality control.
The lab has been certified by the European Notified Body for the certification of work gloves, CTC of Lyon.
This period also marked the appearance of the Safety Systems brand and the start of production of first-generation Automatic Dispensers (stand- alone): OEM version refrigerated vending structures on which customized hardware and software were developed for the distribution of PPE.
Extension of sourcing areas (China, South Korea, Malaysia, Bangladesh and India) and identification of local partners that produce under the supervision of CTC Asia.
This period was marked by extension of the product range to include special hand protection developed in close cooperation with the research labs of user companies.
Second-generation automatic dispensers (on line in real time interfaced with the company network) made their appearance, accompanied by development of increasingly specialized materials management software applications.
Setting up at the Turin facility of an independent production unit dedicated to the design and manufacture of automated systems for the distribution and management of materials, at which third generation machines were produced according to Industry 4.0 criteria and ready for the SMART FACTORY of the IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) in order to cater to the growing demands of Lean Thinking companies. The range was extended with models for the storage, distribution and collection of different types of materials.
Setting up of the Safety Systems Industrial Vending and Safety Systems Hand Protection business divisions. Following far-reaching reorganization of the structure of the Division which comprises specific Marketing, R&D and Compliance functions, the Group expanded its business on the Italian and internal market through a network of specialized partners.
Our mission is clear: work to offer Safety solutions designed and produced for workers, able to protect them against possible accidents and enhance their organizational well-being.
The Lanzi Group and the Safety Systems Divisions are becoming increasingly suppliers of services, consulting, focused on persons and their needs.
Thanks to its first acquisition, Lanzi Group takes an important step towards the goal of becoming a leader in the specialised distribution of PPE in Italy.
Sicura was founded in 1990 and is based in Lugo (Ravenna); it is active in the distribution of PPE and workwear as well as in the maintenance of fire prevention systems. Sicura owns 100% of G. & Co., founded in 2011 to offer companies the best possible solutions for workwear and safety clothing.
This acquisition allows Lanzi to consolidate its presence in Emilia-Romagna and Central Italy, capitalising on the excellent positioning already acquired by Sicura over the years and the business opportunities that can be generated thanks to Sicura's joining the Lanzi group.
For over 15 years, Lanzi has also been present on the Polish market, where the development of the company, which supplies end customers with personal protective equipment (gloves and other products for worker protection) has seen a significant increase.
In Poland, besides the ongoing expansion of its customer base, the company has recently begun to establish structures with dedicated sales and service personnel. All this is done to improve the level of service for both existing and new customers. All the activities described above have led the Board of Directors to set up a branch office in Poland, as a natural outcome of company’s development in the Country.
As a result, as of mid-2023, Lanzi has had a branch office registered in Poland. At the same time, the Board of Directors also decided to establish a warehouse in Silesian Voivodeship, which will handle the delivery of products to Polish customers.
