The new standard EN ISO 21420:2020 for protective gloves has been introduced from February 2020 and replaces the previous one EN 420:2003+A1:2009 (in force until 30 September 2020)
The standard specifies the general requirements for protective gloves (innocuousness, comfort, marking, e information supplied by the manufacturer) and the correspondent test procedures for design and manufacture. Compared to the previous EN 420:2003, it introduces the following updates:

Therefore we highlight the universal feature of this document whose perspective is to level out the European and International Anglo-Saxon standards in a consolidated text.
All the protective gloves already certified by EN 420:2003+A1:2009 have not to be certified again because the old standard will be valid until the natural expiration date of the ongoing audit. On the contrary, the new gloves launched into the marketplace will be certified following the new standard UNI EN ISO 21420:2020 from the 1 st October 2020.
