The company has decided to issue reports detailing its actions and results in the field of corporate sustainability. The aim is to get across in a transparent manner its ESG Responsibility, i.e., “a set of actions implemented with the aim of forcefully addressing environmental, ethical and social issues, and incorporating them into the company’s business goals”.
A belief that it is always possible to take a further step towards conscious choices that benefit the wider community has prompted the LANZI GROUP to adopt new measures, including energy efficiency measures.
In particular, the company has recently focused on optimising its electricity and methane consumption for heating by implementing a single strategic solution: the installation of two photovoltaic systems.
Over the last two years, LANZI GROUP has worked to reduce its electricity consumption by implementing a number of strategic interventions.
Between 2022 and 2023, two photovoltaic panels were installed on the roofs of the industrial sheds at the company premises in Turin. Total power is 19,920 kWp, with an estimated annual energy production of 21,912.00 kWp. As a result, the company has seen a 35% reduction in energy consumption, from an average of around 64,000 kWh per year to just 41,000 kWh.

Another major step forward was the transfer of the LANZI GROUP Data Centre to the Fastweb facility in Milan. Besides contributing to reduce consumption, this decision provides not just energy savings but also enhanced security in terms of privacy and data protection. The facility, as described on the Fastweb website, “stands out for its efficiency, power, security, friendliness to the environment and degree of automation, and is a national benchmark for reliability in services for companies”.
Alongside the installation of photovoltaic panels, another strategy has focused on reducing methane consumption for heating. The LANZI GROUP has recently replaced the heating system of the logistics building with a radiant tube system, greatly reducing activation time and increasing comfort for the operators.

This ingenious combination of factors made it possible to significantly reduce the system's activation time. It is now able to reach full capacity after just 20 minutes (compared to the previous start-up time of 1.5 hours). Not only that, but the system's intrinsic efficiency has also improved, as it is now able to prevent hot air stratification. This has resulted in an overall reduction in methane gas consumption, from an average of 43,000 cubic metres per year to approximately 19,500 cubic metres per year (-45%).
The goal pursued by LANZI GROUP is, and will continue to be in the coming years, to increase the quality of its solutions without forgetting its commitment to constantly reducing its environmental impact.
